Women Are Giants

Alyssa Nakken and Amy G of the San Francisco Giants discuss what it means to be successful women in baseball and experience their first driverless ride.

As a celebration of two trailblazing women in a male-dominated industry, Cruise showcased coach Alyssa Nakken and reporter Amy G of the San Francisco Giants as part of Girls Day at Oracle Park. Alyssa is the first female coach in all of MLB, and Amy G has forged a path as one of the best reporters in the business, while oftentimes being the only woman on the field or in the clubhouse. The pair sat down to discuss moments of adversity, success, and empowerment while sharing what they love most about San Francisco, and then took their first-ever driverless ride with Cruise.

As Creative Director, I worked closely with Amy G, prior to filming, to decide discussion topics and interview goals. On set, I managed the talent, set design, and production. In post-production, I collaborated closely with the editor in creating all final cuts, ensuring that our work did justice to the powerful stories of both women and their careers.
